Does Acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture needles are hair thin, sterile, single use, and most are not felt upon insertion. Some people describe the sensation as a mild, dull, achey sensation on certain points. Some points you will feel nothing at all.

How many treatments do I need?

This depends entirely on the person, their condition, and their lifestyle. Usually chronic conditions take longer to treat, and more acute conditions can be treated much more quickly. People respond differently to acupuncture much like any other form of treatment. It is best to come in for a consultation to discuss what you can expect for a specific condition.

Can I use Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine with Western Medicine?

Absolutely. In the West, Acupuncturists are very accustomed to working on conditions that are already being treated by conventional Western Medicine. Acupuncture can compliment other modalities and often help the body recover quicker.
